Hebrews 11:6 says, "And it is impossible to please God without faith. 

Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him." We must first believe that God is who He says He is.

The Father is God. (Matthew 6:8, 7:21, Galatians 1:1)
Jesus is God from the beginning (John 1: 1-18)
The Holy Spirit is God (John 15:26) 

Only then can we act on what we know is true and please Him. Someone without faith, can't do this.  We aren't looking for favors from God.  We aren't looking for rewards.  We simply want to hear what He has to say to us, we want to obey Him and live our lives in a way that is pleasing to Him, because of our faith. 

1 Peter 1:6-7 shows us what it looks like to have faith, even during the difficult times we will all face."In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed." 

May our faith grow to look like this.  Lord, we love You.  We adore You and want to grow our faith today.  May our faith be refreshing to You, may it be pleasant.  May it honor You and bring You praise. Amen
